Hello all.

I have for some time been now been getting 54 errors during backups since I
have upgraded to Netbackup 3.4 from 3.2 and applied the latest patches
J0850645 and P0850697. Most of my backup clients have no problems but a few
have since the upgrade continually failed with this error the bpbrm log
shows that the client is timing out.

<16> bpcr_connect: bpcr_connect timeout during select after 60 seconds on
port 850
<16> bpbrm start_bpcd: timed out trying to connect to hq-archive1
<2> bpbrm brm_sigcld: SIGCLD caught by bpbrm
<2> bpbrm brm_sigcld: bpbrm child 17194 exit_status = 54, signal_status = 0
<2> bpbrm brm_sigcld: child 17194 exited with status 54: timed out
connecting to client

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
