Hello

You have to specify the host on which the tape was written with the -h option.

ie.:
     bpmedia -freeze -ev $MEDIAID -h $MEDIASERVER

Recently I have begun trying to change the status of some media (for during
scripts). In particular, I am attempting to freeze a volume so that it will
not be chosen for a future operation by the script (because of what this
script does, if I do not somehow make the tape 'unavailable' it is a
certainty it will be used again immediately).

As can be seen below, the media exists to vmquery, but a bpmedia -freeze
fails telling me it does not exist.

Any clues on why this might be?

Thanks
