Incase no one got back to you.
NetBackup 3.4 Database Agent (Oracle) is or interface into Oracle's Rman to
do hot backups.
Database Edition 2.1.1 for Oracle is Volume Manager, File System, and QIO
plus other features designed to help Oracle run faster online. Plus the
addition of DBED and NBU plus Advanced BLI gives you a different way to
backup up Oracle at the Block Level.
I think that's enough acronyms for now, if you have any questions it's best
you contact your SE or Sales Rep to help with Licensing questions or to make
sure you have all the right parts to do as you want.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Whats the Difference?
Hey guys
I have a copy of Netbackup 3.4 Database Agents (Oracle) and a copy of
Database Edition 2.1.1 for Oracle. I am trying to figure out what the
difference is between these two products. Both seem to be able to perform
hot backups.
Please share your thoughts on this.
Thanks
