Hello all,

I encountered a strange problem at a customer site.

Customer uses NetBackup 3.2 on a Compaq-Server with a Qualstar DLT-Library
(HVD) attached to it.
When doing backup of a local drive to the library the performance is quite
reasonable. Backup of data on a NetApp-F740 via the network however is very
slow (2GB in 60 minutes).
I connected the same library to an SE-adapter on the same system, using a
HVD/SE converter and could backup the same (NAS)data in less than 8 minutes.
We repeated the tests with NT-Backup but couldn't see the same phenomenon,
i.e. backup speed was the same with SE and HVD adapter, local and network
data.

Does anybody have an idea about that?
