Are you using the 3.4 Exchange agent?
Did you put patch 645 on after this agent?

If not, VERITAS NetBackup v3.4 Agent requires patch 645 to support Exchange
2000.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Exchange 2000 and bpbkar32 failure "referenced
memory" ???

Hi,

I've got a small problem concerning Exchange 2000 and the businessmodule for

NetBackup 3.4 (not 3.4.1).

The setup is as follows:

* Master server running on a Sun Solaris 8 Enterprise 420
* Robot: STK L20 with DLT8000
* Exchange 2000 running on a Win2K server with service pack 1 installed.

Well the problem appears on the Exchange server when I'm trying to perform a

backup on "Microsoft Information Store:\". When all savegroups are
finnished, the bpbkar32 dies with a dialogue screen that says:

 - The instruction at "0x77fc96c3" referenced memory at "0x012a6628". The
memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program. Click Cancel
to debug the program.

Well, this beats me. Sometimes the backup seems to be OK at the BU server
(result 0) and sometimes it is partially successful (result 1).

Have a good one,
//magnus
