I thought that the device configuration wizard worked well assuming that the
device is configured correctly on the server.  If you need to create any
device special files, or if the OS has problems seeing the device, the
Netbackup wizard will not "magically" configure the device for you.
However, assuming that the device has been configured from the OS, the
wizard makes configuring the device within Netbackup much easier compared to
the older device configuration gui's.  There is less guess work when picking
the device files because the wizard auto-discovers the devices.

Hello,

If someone is using the Device Configuration
Wizard in NB 3.4 DC? Does it make any sense  to use it? 
We did upgrade from 3.2 to 3.4 and now I am trying to make it working 
for us. For our environment ( 3 STK L700 8xDLT7000 tape drives , 
10 media servers ) the result is rather disappointing. 
Any tricks, suggestions?
