I don't remember doing anything special to backup my UNIX or NT 4.0 clients
other than install the client. For Novell, however, I did have to provide a
backup userid and password when I did the setup for the target using the BP nlm.

Dennis

I am a novice Netbackup user and I am trying to get a better
understanding on how a Netbackup Unix Master server connects to
Netbackup clients such as Unix, Netware, and Win2000. I know he uses
specific ports to make the connection but does he actually log into
those clients such as Unix with a valid login id, for Netware with a
super id defined to NDS, and for Win2000 with a super id which part of
the backup operator group within Active Directory. Any details someone
could provide would be greatly appreciated or if you can point me to
some documentation. Thanks!
