I'm unable to get a successful (status 0) backup on a client which runs
Veritas HSM 3.1.1 to my NBU 3.2 server. I get errors like these:

First it will error out on files on the HSM volume:

12:29:15 [8283] <16> bpbrm handle_backup: from client nbclient: ERR -
Cannot process sparse file /hsmvol/file. Errno = 24: Too many open files
12:26:17 [8283] <16> bpbrm handle_backup: from client nbclient: ERR -
Cannot process sparse file /hsmvol/file.tar.gz. Errno = 24: Too many
open files

After a while it even errors out on the UFS volume:

12:29:53 [8283] <16> bpbrm handle_backup: from client nbclient: ERR -
Cannot open file /ufsvol/file. Errno = 24: Too many open files

The '24' must be an undocumented Media Manager error status code, or is
it? Support told us before the upgrade this 3.2 NBU/3.1.1 HSM would
work, but it has not. It backs up *most* of the files exiting with a
status 1, and it especially errors out on tar'd & gzipped files.

Any ideas?
