Judy,

I did our upgrade last Nov, and for the most part it went smoothly, but we
did run into a few snags in the area of backing up through a firewall. The
way that it handles reserved ports changed a bit, and actually give you
more flexibility for configuration, I believe. The default range changed,
and the way that we had things configured on our firewall had to be
modified.  Just something to be aware of, if you have a non-typical setup
existing.

Other than that, make sure you get a catalog backup before hand on your
master.  You need to upgrade your master 1st, and then all of your media
servers.  THe clients can remain at 3.2, but it's recommended that you
upgrade to take advantage of any enhancements.

Veritas support had a document on "how to" or at least the steps to take,
but I'm not sure if it was published on their site, or just something
internal.

Also, make sure you get the latest Jumbo patch.

I just finished upgrading all my Netbackup Masters to 3.4.  I had masters
at
3.1.1 and 3.2.  The upgrades on all the masters went smoothly.
