Funny ;) I just got done with talking to tech support about this 
very issue on our ATL P3000 libraries.

Well, you are supposed to be able to eject ONE tape at a time ...
but we have a problem with that too. The transport picks up the tape 
and delivers it to the load port, but then just picks it up and returns
it to it's original slot before you can open the port door and get it.
I am not entirely sure that is a Veritas problem at this time.

But I was quite amazed that you could not pick 12 weekly full volumes
and send them to the load port so you could just pick them up on 
your way out of the building for off site storage!

I'm told that the BPVault extension has this capability ...
