No worries.
1. Note the current NT service pack.
2. Reinstall the OS (if you trust your backups, go ahead and reformat the
partition).
3. Apply the NT service pack currently in use.
4. Install Netbackup client software.
5. Restore the partition.

Without already having IDR set up for a NT desktop system,
how can I restore a user's system that has been whacked
by a typical failed software product installation?
The system runs, but the user isn't very happy with
all of the configuration changes that have taken place.
I have a normal full backup of the system but I
do not have a full understanding of NT, and
don't want to start guessing on this users
restore.
