I think you can just check
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version

If you have a patch installed it will tell you which one.

The output of mine is
NetBackup-Solaris2.6 3.2patchJ0820465

If you put on a Solaris patch (one that was made for NetBackup
like 108261) you will have to check it with showrev -p. I don't
think it shows up in the version file.

And although it looks like I have on patch 465, I have actually
installed patch 466. Don't know why????

Hello Everyone

OK, I think I have a better perspective on my restore problems. Recently,
we've added a second media server complete with a ADIC Scalar 1000 tape
library.
The server team loaded the media server with Solaris 2.7 and with Netbackup
3.2GA, the master server is also Netbackup 3.2GA from before I started here.
Backups to the new storage unit works fine. Everytime I start a restore
that
requires the new storage unit, the restore comes back with a status 25 some
time
later. The requested tape doesn't even get mounted. On the new media
server,
I get the following bpbrm logs rather early on whenever the restore request
becomes active:

   13:18:42 [27775] <4> bpbrm main: INITIATING: version NetBackup 3.2GA
99050812
   13:18:42 [27775] <2> logparams: -restore -mpx_restore -S barnes.enron.net
-mt
   2 -to 0 -mud 180 -mediasvr iah-bk-02.enron.net
   13:18:42 [27775] <2> getsockconnected: host=iah-bk-02.enron.net
service=bpcd
   address=10.128.42.151 protocol=tcp reserved port=13782
   13:18:42 [27775] <2> getsockconnected: Connect to iah-bk-02.enron.net on
port
   839
   13:18:43 [27775] <16> bpbrm process_start_restore_msg: unrecognized flag
   -job_total
   13:18:43 [27775] <4> bpbrm signal_media_manager: Sending SIGHUP to media
   manager 27777
13:18:46 [27775] <4> bpbrm Exit: ERROR 20 sent to parent process

Now, I'm thinking that perhaps the master server had been patched at some
point
in time in the past and the new media server has not been. How do I check
to
see what patches have been applied? Somehow I don't think showrev -p will
do
the trick for Netbackup.
