Is there any consensus on using or not using the archive bit in NetWare
(or Windows) backups? There is an option in the bp.ini file (equivilent
to bp.conf) which by default is:

Use_Archive_Bit = yes

I get a decent amount of TRV (trivial) errors like this:

12:49:50 [21636] <4> bpbrm handle_backup: from client nwtest: TRV -
error clearing archive bit: SYS:/MY_TE
S~1/RESTORE/PCFILES/SAVED/MASTER~1.DOC (FAILURE)

Should I leave it at its default? Is there anything to gain by having
the backup *not* going off the archive bit?

Regards,

RCA
