° get the doc:
netbackup_dc_adminguide_unixserver_232348.pdf
- VERITAS NetBackup DataCenter 3.4, System Administrator's Guide. UNIX
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/232348.htm
netbackup_dc_adminguide_ntserver_232347.pdf
- VERITAS NetBackup DataCenter 3.4, System Administrator's Guide. Windows
NT/2000.
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/232347.htm
° check appendix A "NetBackup commands" - you want the bpbackup command.
> Also if I want to use a tar, can I do that?
go for it - as long as don't want to put tar data on NB tapes. this
will cause lost data, obviously. put your tar / cpio / dd... on tapes
with no NetBackup data on it. and put those tapes in the "non" volume
pool to avoid the media manager try to use them.
