There are a couple of possibilities. Most likely the request daemon is not
running. It may be useful to stop all of the daemons and restart them. The
other important thing to remember is that when you set up a schedule to
automatically run backups, the request daemon only kicks off every 10
minutes by default. So, if you don't restart the daemons after a Class
"schedule" change, and the schedule is set to kick off in 5 minutes from the
current time, you may miss the window where the daemons check the schedules
for current jobs to start.

Solution: #1. If you are on unix and using the motif interface you can
select File -->Re-read request daemon configuration,
or
#2. You can be more drastic (preferably no backups are running)
K77netbackup to kill all Netbackup daemons (or even bp.kill_all), then
re-start with S77netbackup.

Hope this helps.

does anybody know what would cause backups to not kick off at their
scheduled times. The classes are set to active and everything looks fine but
unless the operators manually start the backups they will not run.
