Hello

The problem turned out to be the client NIC card having somehow switched to half
duplex by itself.   The network team determined that the switch was receiving a
large number of runts from the port and knew that this tended to happen if the
NIC plugged into the port was not operating at the same settings as the port on
the switch which was set to full duplex.    The server team is scheduling
downtime to change the interface settings.
