Can someone please point me to the definitive source of information on what
information is kept in the various netbackup catalogs/databases and under what
circumstances. The Netbackup docs are very confusing regarding
Media Servers in Media Manager vs Slave servers in Netbackup. If I have a media
server whose volume database is centrally held on the master server, does the
media server have any catalog information relevant under
/opt/openv/netbackup/db/??. If so, what is the advantage of centralization? I
would expect that only device config info in /opt/openv/volmgr/database info
would be relevant.

The excerpt below for the UNIX admin guide regading what to backup when
performing a catalog backup does not cover the one case where you have a media
server with devices configured, but the volume database has been configured to
reside on the Master Server, ie. a slave server that has no volume database but
that HAS devices configured.

> ? slave_name:/usr/openv/volmgr/database
