I just went through this with a bunch of tapes that NetBackup had decided
was bad (apparently from a controller problem we had). All you should
have to do is relabel the tape, you can do that with the "bplabel"
command.
I just checked and I no longer have the command in my history, but I
believe you just need to run:
<nebackupdir>/bin/admincmd/bplabel -ev <id> -d dlt -n <drive>
where <id> is the tape ID you wish to write on the tape, and <drive> is
the NetBackup name for the drive.
In my world, I would use:
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bplabel -ev DGQ100 -d dlt -n Drive0
