Excuse me, I meant 30 years rather than 10, but they still do not
qualify those years.  Are they shelf life, or actively exercised.  The
tape life seems to come from their values on the number of passes the
tapes are designed for.  But what happens if you just put a tape on the
shelf and leave it?  Again, numbers I have seen suggest only 7 years ...
