In regard to: [Networker] Upgrading to 7.6.4.3 - general question, bingo...:

Not that i am aware of ... except that your auth codes most likely will
become invalid.

If it's a Linux-based server, it should be fine. On Linux, the "hostid"
is tied to the IP address, so if that stays the same, the hostid won't
change. Theresa will still want to verify the codes are still permanently
registered after the update, but we haven't needed to do any relicensing
any of the times when we've replaced hardware on our Linux NetWorker
servers.

Let me suggest that you swap/update your machines one after the other.
Otherwise in case of a problem, you might not even be able to state
which host caused the issue.

Agreed. If possible, do this as two steps. I would do the NetWorker
upgrade first, on the current hardware, run a few days like that, and
then do the hardware swap.
