Networker will not start up. Any clues????

Please advise as I'm lost on this one.
Really stupid question, but I'm not sure if it's possible to use nmc
(NetWorker Management Console) with such an old release of NW, but if
so, is gst by any chance running before you start NW? If so, stop it,
and then try to start NW before running gst. My experience was always
that if I tried to start NW, and gst was already running then NW would
either fail, or it would launch only one process.
