I don't remember seeing those errors during our installation and
troubleshooting. 

Some quick double checks: 

Are you using FQDN (full qualified domain name), not just the short
name? 

Is the backup client name an administrator on the backup storage node? 

Lastly, did you run the NMM config checker?   This is a good tool to
find out some of your issues.
