We have implemented VSS Software Provider support only for EMC Avamar, and any 
existing VSS Hardware Providers that are installed are ignored. This is slowly 
migrating to EMC NetWorker. The Windows Disaster Recovery backup that was 
introduced in NetWorker 7.6SP2 ignores VSS Hardware Providers, as does the 
NetWorker Module for Microsoft. For NetWorker Client system state and file 
system backups, we plan to migrate this change in the upcoming NetWorker 8.0 
release.
