Thanks for your reply bingo, it's about as clear as mud !
If you have weekend 1, 2 3 and 4 each of which does a full backup (retention 1 
month), I don't understand why the incrementals in between those weekends would 
be kept any longer than the 1 week retention specified.
My understanding is full to full in this case would be 1 week?
Can you explain why you're saying 1 month?
