I have almost no experience with Oracle backups but there are other issues that
you need to consider. In general, it is not a good idea to get multiple storage
nodes for the backup of one client involved:
For the fastest backup method, you should run it locally. Consequently, if
one of the SNs is a local one, the others must be network attached. This is not
a good solution in general.
For NW, you can only specify one active SN per client. Yes, you may setup a
list, but this is a failover list, not a load balancing one. Consequently, NW
will only use one SN, which is actually ideal considering my statement above.
You may setup multiple streams going to different tape drives on the same node,
but you may not send the data to multiple SNs at the same time.
