I can't speak to the meat of your migration question, but I'm curious,
is there no direct network connectivity possible between your old and
new file servers; why not just use robocopy.exe from a file share?

I've also used robocopy to copy 1 TB from drive letter A to drive
letter B, each being different san platforms, then re-mounted B in A's
place, and while I expected NetWorker to pick up any changes as
incremental, it reported no prior backups found and performed a full,
though the files and save set definitions were identical. Maybe it
recognized a disk identifier and not just the path of the SS...?
