Hello,
I have been having some issues with a certain manufacturers labels. (not sure
if I am allowed to name them here). They have been coming loose on the ends,
and I am worried that they may get stuck in my drive, or come off in the drive.
I have purchased a new set of labels from another manufacturer that have not
been having this issue.
Now the problem. When I change the labels, my volume label is the old label
from the old barcode, and the new label is the new barcode. I have been
waiting for the expire so that I do not have problems there. I am wondering if
there is a way to get the labels to match again. My reason is I have written
some scripts that use one or the other labels to identify the tapes.
I have considered deleting the tapes from the library, but then I will not know
how many times my tapes have been used. I think that it would still come up
with the old volume label though.
Any help is appreciated.
Keith
