Use this command for an already recyclable volume to clear this flag.

OK, yes, that makes sense. But does this command do the same thing as manually changing each save set to not recyclable using the nsrmm command? Is it just a short cut to avoid having to script or loop 'nsrmm -o notrecycle -S ssid/cloneid'?

nsrmm -o manual volume

Use this command to remove a media from becoming recyclable automatically.
This is a method to prevent NW from recycling/relabeling the volume
automatically.
Consequently, the volume must manually be relabeled by an administrator in
the future.

Gothcha.

These 'mminfo -q' parameters should be used:
   manual recycle use 'manual'
   notrecyclable use '!volrecycle'

Yep. I see that now.

I have some more questions concerning marking a tape notrecyclable versus manual, but I'll create a new post for that.

Thanks!
