Why can't you upgrade in-place? By "in-place" I mean re-format the Win2003
server; install Win2008 (using the same name as the old server). Then do a
"mmrecover" to recover the old mm database. Followed by a "nsrck -L7" to
restore the latest Client File Indexes.
Basically, that's the same as a disaster recovery of your NW server. And
just an overview of the entire process, of course, which should be
available in the Disaster Recovery Guide on PowerLink. There's also a
Networker Procedure Generator (I believe that's the name) that lists all
the steps required to upgrade from one version to another.
