[Networker] How do I configure a client in a CFS environment?
2011-01-20 11:32:40
We have a number of Veritas Cluster Systems (VCS) running on Solaris/Linux in
our environment. Most of the VCS systems have a specific service group and the
vxfs file system would just be mounted on one of the two (or more) nodes in the
cluster. We backup that file system via a client resource with the backup
command save -c <name>, list the specific directories in the saveset
properties, etc..... Name is the name of the service group.
We understand that situation. Now, we have a number of systems running CFS
(cluster file system) whereby the same vxfs file system is mounted on a number
of different hosts at the same time. How do I setup my client resource so that
I do not backup this shared disk resource five times if it is mounted on five
different hosts at the same time?
I obviously could pick one host to backup all the shared filesystems, but that
doesn't seem very fault tolerant if that host happens to be down.
