Hi Stan,

yeah i managed to free up to 8gb in space For the immediate issue , I have 
compressed a few 2.5Gb directories in E:\Volume_001\ (this is where the 
problems where coming from as it was maxed out) which has saved over 8Gb of 
space. thus allowing us to run just now until we get the rest of the 255gb 
compressed but ultlimately we need more space so i think we are going to build 
a new back up server when the network guys come back onsite!

again thanks for your help, this site is great and very informative, guys like 
yourself and mat are wirth your weight thats for sure!
