Hi all,

Can anybody provide any help/insight for the below problem?

Fact: NetWorker 7.6 SP1
Fact: Windows 2008 x64
Fact: Celerra NDMP DSA/DAR Backup (DART 5.644-4)

Error:
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 savegrp: suppressed 2 lines of output.
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 NDMP Service Debug: The process id for NDMP
service is 0xcb8b27f8
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 42794:nsrndmp_save: Performing backup to
Non-NDMP type of device
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 42658:nsrdsa_save: DSA savetime = 1289913234
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 NDMP Service Debug: The process id for NDMP
service is 0xcb8b27f8
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 42909:nsrndmp_save: Performing DAR Backup..
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 Host = backup server (nn.nn.nn.nn port = 9799
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 42597:nsrndmp_save: data connect: failed to
establish connection
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 42886:nsrndmp_save: Unable to start the NDMP
backup process.
  xxxxx: /root_vdm_11/fs_007 level=full, 0 KB 00:00:01      0 file

Possible solution:

 At the top of page 9 of the this EMC whitepaper it talks about the error we
are seeing:
* xxxxx:/root_vdm_11/fs_007 42597:nsrndmp_save: data connect: failed to
establish connection

http://www.emc.com/collateral/hardware/white-papers/h4048-emc-networker-ndmp-wp.pdf

 However me not being a Celerra expert do not undertand what they mean when
using the terminology "loop router" which they say needs to be configured to
enable the backups to work with the version of DART code that is being used
(5.644-4). Have any of you come across this type of error before and if so
what steps did you need to go through to fix the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Mark.
