This is from the log of a recovery attempt from a Solaris 9 server to a
Solaris 9 client (both are Networker 7.5.1) :
(lots of previous output)
39571:recover:
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/ldap/backup/EmbeddedLDAPBackup.0.zip: file
exists, overwriting
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/ldap/backup/EmbeddedLDAPBackup.1.zip
39571:recover:
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/ldap/backup/EmbeddedLDAPBackup.1.zip: file
exists, overwriting
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/ldap/backup/EmbeddedLDAPBackup.2.zip
39571:recover:
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/ldap/backup/EmbeddedLDAPBackup.2.zip: file
exists, overwriting
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/ldap/backup/
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/ldap/
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/data/
./peoplesoft/servers/PSOL/
./peoplesoft/servers/
./peoplesoft/
53363:recover: Recover of rsid 4454 failed: Error receiving files from NSR
server `backup'
Invalid argument
52973:recover: Didn't recover requested file
./peoplesoft/PSLogAnalyzer/class/com/peoplesoft/pt/loganalyzer/ILogAnalyzerInputConstants.class
52973:recover: Didn't recover requested file
./peoplesoft/PSLogAnalyzer/class/com/peoplesoft/pt/loganalyzer/ILogAnalyzerInputXmlConstants.class
(etc., to the end of the "recovery")
Of course, there's nothing in the Networker 7.5 error message guide about
message 52973, and basically nothing about the "rsid" message. However,
Googling them is leading me in a direction of a Networker bug (from a few
posts here and elsewhere). There's no indication of a backup failure in
the savegroup completion reports, mminfo queries nor anything else I can
find. This was an apparently good, error-free, non-aborted incremental
backup. We're going to try a restore from the previous backup (a full)
later today, but haven't yet.
I'm going to open a support case on this to get our maintenance dollars'
worth (right - Sun/Oracle OEM-ed version...), but I'm curious if anyone
has encountered this. Any feedback is most welcome, as suddenly all our
backups are questionable in my mind...
Thanks.
