[Networker] Backup job scheduling
2010-08-31 14:43:06
Nick ... you have to identify all your production vs test backups, critical &
important production vs plain production backups, and determine your backup
windows of opportunities based on the applications' SLAs. For many shops ...
critical/important prod backups are ran during "oh-dark-early" hours (00:01 -
05:00) while many test server backups are ran during the weekdays and/or
outside prod windows. There might not be any easy way to effectively do the
job without mapping all this out ... more of an art rather than a science.
