Will using "scanner -i" on the saveset to be recovered from the
alternate datazone server produce the desired results?

I'm specifically concerned with regards to backups that use one of the
modules (ie. Oracle RMAN, Exchange, MSSQL, etc..) and require that the
file indexes be intact.

Ummm... no.... Try recovering a client file index fro backups that are
from a different NetWorker datazone using "nsrck -L7"

Sort of.... Yes, you can copy the index directory from one NetWorker
server to the other, but the client file index probably is not in sync
with the target's media database. So, unless you also use the same
media database from where the indexes originated, then the next time the
server runs nsrim -X, you may find that some index information is
removed, since there is no corresponding saveset information in the
media database.
