I do option #3. A client with ALL, and a directive that ignores 
(specifically, I use NULL: rather than SKIP:, based on a recommendation by 
Preston; NULL: keeps the file list being ignored, and SKIP: does not). The 
other client has a directive with specific directories (the same as the 
ignore list, above).
