The NMC related files are located in a separate directory/folder than the
NetWorker database. They are not under the /nsr directory, unless that is
where you specified the location when you installed.

Do you have user defined user accounts for NMC? Do you manage many backup
servers? When you defined your backup server(s), did you take the defaults so
that it gather data that will allow NMC to generate reports? Do you use NMC
to manage your license server?

If the answer is yes to either questions, then you should backup the GST
database. NMC will also create transaction logs, which will keep growing until
a full (?) backup is done, at which they are committed to the database.

The GST database can be backed up anytime, however taking into consideration of
other backups and what pools you use.
