To automatically copy the backups to tape, you would enable the savegroup's 
auto clone feature.

To copy the backups to tape after x number of days, you would use the staging 
feature.  You can set up a staging policy using the GUI, and set the Max 
Storage Period to X days.


Things to consider:

  If you use auto cloning, you must factor in the additional time needed to 
perform the cloning.

  The clone will copy the backups to a Clone Pool.  It will not copy to the 
same pool as the backups are on.

  Staging will allow you to use any pool, including the same backup pool.

  Cloning and staging will always require two devices:  one to read from, and 
the other to write to.
