That didn't use to be true, because the client 'save' process wasn't
able to get access to the indexes anyway. Instead, it was just passed a
timestamp and pulled out data that appeared to be after that date. The
timestamp could have come from the media database.
I'm less certain how this behavior might have changed in more recent
versions.
