I just happen to be in the midst of talking about a Windows Server 2008 R2/Exchange 2010 build, and needing to back it up :)

I'm guessing from this thread that R2 is not technically supported, but it may work? I'm not the Windows person here and our Windows people haven't played with 2008 yet, so we're unfamiliar with the "reserve drive" and issues backing it up.

Anybody lucky enough to touch Exchange 2010 yet to know if the Exchange module will work? Or are we SOL until they come out with one? I understand the DB tech in 2010 is very different.

To tell you the truth I have not had the chance yet to do test the recovery.
I will try it soon:-)

Best regards Otto

Thanks - please do let us know - I've been told that is not a viable workaround, although it appears to work; they claim one "must use" Windows native backup to get a successful recovery.
