1. Can scanner be used to do an OS independent version of mmrecov between two different OS without having to scan every tape in your inventory?

2. Can you scan just the last bootstrap and somehow recover that to the new server OS to get around the limitation of mmrecov when recovering media database from a different OS?

I'm thinking 'no', and that for every tape that you wanna have in the new OS's media database, you'd have to individually scan it. Way too many.

3. Has anyone actually seen any corruption between moving media database from other Unix to Linux? Guess it's hard to know if everything appears to be working.
