I must be missing something obvious ...
I run "nsrlic -v", and I see this:
SERVER (UNIVERSAL) CLIENT LICENSES
Available: 90
Used: 77
Borrowed from Server: 11
Remaining: 2
So I have ... 11 "borrowed" .. from where?
In my case, the 11 appear to be the physical nodes of my clusters (I have
5 clusters, of 2 nodes each), and also an XP machine I use as an NMC (I
have an NMC installed on there; on the NW server itself; and also on my
workstation. I used to back up the console DB on the XP machine by
"NMCASA:/gst_on_XP-NAME/lgto_gst", but don't do so any longer).
Wonder why NW thinks these need to use "Workstation" licenses? All my
clients are at NW 7.4.2.
One of those 77 "SERVER (UNIVERSAL)" licenses is for a server I am
retiring. So I'm not sure how to free up that license now. Do I just
delete the definition in NW? The files I backed up will have a retention
period of like 7 years. Does that have any bearing on when the license
will be freed up?
