I can say that the Avamar documentation is on the appliance itself.  If you
have an Avamar then go to its IP and click on the docs and software link on
the bottom of the web page.

Above is the cookie crumb trail to get to the Sys Admin guide on PowerLink.

To be honest the Avamar is a LOT more complex then NetWorker and at the same
time easier.  So to get 100's of clients up and running is simpler in Avamar
the logic is not very straight forward.  Don't be frustrated if the docs
don't make sense without hands on experience.
