I really hope EMC don't screw up DD. As others have said, it's a great product
and my dealings with them so far have been excellent (not that we've had any
issues with the kit - just stupid newbie questions mainly).
It's definitely the best bit of kit that's come into our place for many a year.
The replication has been a godsend for us. When we were looking at
alternative products, we got the usual 'infringement of patent' crap and more
from 'other vendors'. Little did they know what an own goal that was - it just
spurred me on to wanting DD more than ever ;-)
Fortunately for us, it only came in 'cos we got a cracking price on it (we
assumed it was out of our league). I wonder if we might have just snuck in in
time!

Allan.

Quantum is in deep trouble now.... In any case, I still believe EMC will still
resell their tapes.

As for DD, we are the sole distributor in SG, now dunno how long EMC will let
DD run by it's own before putting DD under EMC umbrella.

DD is a good product, juz that the price is a turn off.... :)
