Consider the Device drivers either incompatible, dont work with lto4 and or
they werent installed manually and the system has picked up the wrong ones,
i.e. instead of the IBM drivers, its grabbed the Dell ones.

This can also be caused by dirty tape drives. I know you said the drives were
new, but if you're using old tapes they can make the drives dirty pretty quick.

 Hi,

we had the same problem and it was actually the tapes that was the problem. We
got a bad batch of tapes from Maxell. We were told by our dealer that there has
been reported errors whith a specific batch of tapes from them. When we got new
tapes from them it worked like a charm.

Hi all,

We have just received a new backup tape library with 4 LTO-4 Ultrium 1840 tape
drives. After doing the first tests, we receive Data errors when the tapes are
almost full:

The problem occurs with different tapes and with any tape drive?
Could it be a misconfiguration in Networker? We are using NetWorker version
7.4.3.Build.569

Regards,
Andrés
