If you turn of indexing for a pool, what happens if you run an incremental, say, after you've run a full? Will it just run the equivalent of another level full, etc., etc.? Ditto for a numeric?

Obviously, if this option is turned off then NW isn't going to update the online client index, just the media database, so it would seem that an actual incremental or numeric would not be possible because how would it know what had changed since the last backup without the index entries, and yet you can perform save set recovers wherein you specify an incremental or numeric instance even though you're not browsing. Of course, in that case, NW doesn't have to decide which files to recover - all the file level decision making was determined back when it first backed them up - so it simply recovers that whole save set, and you get whatever is in there even though that might include files that have since been removed.

So, I want to say that running any backups will always result in a level full if indexing us turned off?
