Anyone ever had any issues with savepnpc where the pstclintsave runs before the
backup job finishes? I just had a backup where the preclntsave ran OK, but
while the backup was still running, the pstclntsave started up, resulting in an
invalid backup. The only thing I can find in the logs is on the client from
the savepnpc.log file:

05/12/09 02:02:02 preclntsave: Starting up the precmds.
05/12/09 02:09:21 preclntsave: All command(s) ran successfully.
05/12/09 02:11:22 pstclntsave: Server resource is not available .
05/12/09 02:12:22 pstclntsave: RAP query failed.
05/12/09 02:12:22 pstclntsave: Will retry RAP Query again
05/12/09 02:12:57 pstclntsave: RAP query failed.
05/12/09 02:12:57 pstclntsave: Will retry RAP Query again
05/12/09 02:13:32 pstclntsave: RAP query failed.
05/12/09 02:13:32 pstclntsave: Will retry RAP Query again
05/12/09 02:14:07 pstclntsave: RAP query failed.
05/12/09 02:14:07 pstclntsave: Will retry RAP Query again
05/12/09 02:14:42 pstclntsave: RAP query failed.
05/12/09 02:14:42 pstclntsave: RAP query to check the worklist for completion
of the save operation failed during all attempts.
05/12/09 02:14:42 pstclntsave: All savesets on the worklist are done.
05/12/09 02:14:42 pstclntsave: Starting up the pstcmds.
05/12/09 02:16:17 pstclntsave: All command(s) ran successfully.
05/12/09 02:16:17 pstclntsave: Exited.

Looks like the client wasn't able to contact the server, which caused it to get
confused and think that the backups had finished for that client because it
couldn't get the worklist from the server. From what I can tell, the backup
server was up and running OK during the backup.

The server version is 7.4 sp1 running on Windows 2003, and the client is 7.4.1
Build 335 running on AIX.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
