I'm looking to create a MacOSX 7.5.1 image using nsrpush, the command fails.

root@abc:xyz # pwd
/tmp/xyz
root@abc:xyz # find . -ls
134524724 8 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 180 Apr 2 18:08 .
139312028 8 drwxrwxr-x 2 root 20 271 Mar 21 03:53 ./MacOSX 134524108 34416 -rw-rw-r-- 1 root 20 35236964 Mar 21 03:53 ./MacOSX/NetWorker-7.5.1.dmg 139312056 8 -rw-rw-r-- 1 root 20 82 Mar 21 03:53 ./MacOSX/._NetWorker-7.5.1.dmg
root@abc:xyz # nsrpush -a -U -p NetWorker -v 7.5.1 -P MacOSX -m /tmp/xyz
Product NetWorker v 7.5.1 not found in specified media kit.

Add To repository Operation Failed
root@abc:xyz #

Anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks.

We've seen > 200GB "VSS SYSTEM FILESET"'s. After working with EMC for eight months they came out with a 7.4.3 and 7.4.4 fix. The fix was LGTsc20343. Our saveset's are now under 1GB :-)

Hello,

I am just starting to backup Windows Server 2008 systems using Networker 7.4 SP4. The Save set: is "All". When doing incremental backups, even with no activity on the host between backups, I always get a HUGE saveset for the VSS SYSTEM FILESET:\.

server.name.ca: VSS SYSTEM FILESET:\ level=full, 11 GB 01:10:01 73151 files

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround? Getting 11 GB of data on every incremental backup really adds up over time.

Thanks,

Mark
