Thanks saiyed for ur reply. But we had many tiomes succesful restore from the
filer before starting ndmp backups also. We were mapping the drives onto
another client and backups were done. But the backups were slow with this.
thats why we enabled the NDMP backups. But now we could really speed up the
backups. but now restore is not working. While restoring a file of 1 mb it
takes almost 30 min and finally we would be able to see the restored file and
folder. But the size of the restored files remains 0KB. So i dont even think
its a permission issue as you said ...
May be sum where we have to add sum parameter. We applied the fix given by emc.
The workaround what they told was its a known issue and told us to put the
NDMP parameter NO for all the client instances except for the one we are
restoring. But still there is no solution for this...
Any ideas ?
rgds,
