Hello - it sounds like you have something misconfigured somewhere - you
can restore the ndmp files from celerra to your NW server *only* if the
server is Solaris/*nix (afaik) , but not to NW on windows.

I set up new NDMP VTL on a celerra yesterday with NW on w2k3, so perhaps
I can help - How is your celerra client setup in NW now? As in what is
listed for the NDMP client under the "Apps & Modules" tab, specifically
- "Application Information"

If it was properly setup it should have (at least):

DIRECT=Y
HIST=Y
UPDATE=Y

And above that in "Save command" should be "nsrndmp_save -T dump"

On the celerra datamover, at the command line to list the TLU devices
that it sees, as nasadmin user, you would run:

$ server_devconfig server_2 -list -scsi -all

(disk output snipped out)

(we have two autochanger/vtl's, so it lists two sets of changers with 4
drives apiece)

Hth - feel free to email me with questions/flames or whatever...
